The solar tracker is a sun tracker system for solar panel to achieve maximum efficiency. The system consists of two LDR’s which has to be mounted on the sides of a solar panel. When the sun moves to a side, one of the sensor gets more light intensity than the other. Then the panel should be rotated to the high intensity side. This is done with the help of a stepper motor. The sensors are connected to a comparator which tells the microcontroller which one is more visible to the sun and the microcontroller drives the stepper motor a single step towards that direction. The sensor outputs are again checked and the process is repeated till both of them get equal light intensity. Messages regarding to the current operation are displayed on an LCD module which make the system more user friendly and makes it easy for debugging.
